Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and enhance the safety and security of our premises in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security operations, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas, detecting and deterring potential threats
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control and surveillance
- Respond effectively to security incidents, such as alarms, suspicious activity, or emergencies
- Conduct thorough security inspections and report any vulnerabilities or concerns
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and assist staff and visitors in a safe and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including incident reports and security assessments
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and advancements in security technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations
- Strong knowledge of security regulations and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work long hours in a demanding environment
- Valid SIA badge or willingness to obtain one
- Clean criminal record
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
