Description Overview:
EarnFlex Ltd., a dynamic technology company in the heart of Colchester, seeks an experienced and dedicated Security Officer to enhance the safety and well-being of its premises and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security and protection of the office premises, staff, equipment, and assets
- Monitor CCTV footage and conduct regular patrols of designated areas
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control and visitor management
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergency situations, and evacuation protocols
- Conduct background checks and maintain visitor logs for authorized access
- Liaise with local authorities, police, and emergency services as necessary
- Provide a visible presence to deter crime and reassure staff
- Train and supervise other security staff (if applicable)
- Keep accurate records and prepare incident reports as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a security officer role
- Excellent physical and mental health, with alertness and adaptability
- Proven ability to handle stressful and demanding situations effectively
- Strong attention to detail, observation, and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of security principles, best practices, and relevant regulations
- SIA license or equivalent security certification
- First Aid and Fire Marshal training preferred
